Status Codes Window

Status codes are used throughout axiUm to identify the current state of a specific type of record.

The Status Codes window allows you to manage the status codes for the following record types:

  • Account
  • Appointment
  • Patient
  • Treatment
  • Recall
  • Inbound Referral

Field Description
Type

A drop-down list that indicates the record type this status code applies to:

  • Account
  • Appointment
  • Patient
  • Treatment
  • Recall
  • Inbound Referral

Note: This list is hard-coded and cannot be customized.

Default

A check box that, when selected, indicates this status is the default status to apply to this type of record.
Inactive

A check box that, when selected, indicates the status code is inactive and not in use.
Code

A text field that indicates the unique code that identifies the status.
Description

A text field that displays the status.

Color

A color bar that indicates the text color to display for records with this status.

Note: This field is enabled when Type is set to Appointment or Inbound Referral.

Appointment Bkg Color

A color bar that indicates the background color to display for records with this status.

Note: This field is enabled when Type is set to Appointment.

Make Patient Inactive

A check box that, when selected, indicates that this status is used to mark the patient as inactive.

Note: This field is enabled when Type is set to Patient.

Archive Patient / Restore Patient / None

A set of radio buttons that indicates whether a patient status code is used with the Patient Archive utility:

  • Archive Patient: Indicates that this status is used to mark patients for archive.
  • Restore Patient: Indicates that this status is used to mark patients for restoration.
  • None: Indicates that this status is not used with the Patient Archive utility.

Note: These buttons are only enabled if the Type field is set to Patient.

Re-activate recall(s) automatically when patient is assigned this status.

A check box that, when selected, indicates that a patient set to this status should have any previous inactive recalls re-activated.

Example: If a patient with a previously inactive status is changed to an active status, any previous recalls that were set to inactive when the patient became inactive, can be re-activated.

Note: This field is enabled if Type is set to Patientand Make Patient Inactive is deselected.

Recall Code / Recall Type / Recall Status

Drop-down lists that indicate the Recall Code, Recall Type, and status code to apply to any re-activated recalls.

Note: This field is enabled when Type is set to Patientand Re-activate recall(s) automatically when patient is assigned this statusis selected.

Make Treatment Inactive

A check box that, when selected, indicates that this status is used to mark the treatment as inactive.

Note: This field is enabled when Type is set to Treatment.

Make Recall Inactive

A check box that, when selected, indicates that this status is used to mark the recall as inactive.

Note: This field is enabled when Type is set to Recall.

Task Procedure
Add Status Codes
  1. Click the Clear Data () icon.
  2. Complete the fields as necessary and click the Add a new Record () icon.
Edit Status Codes
  1. Select a listed entry.
  2. Make any necessary changes and click the Modify Record () icon.
Delete Status Codes
  1. Select a listed entry and click the Delete Record () icon.
  2. When prompted, click Yes to confirm the deletion.
Preview/Print Report
  1. (Optional) To preview the Status Codes report, click the Preview Report () icon.
  2. To print the Status Codes report, click the Print Report () icon.

    3. Note: The Status Codes report uses the status.rpt file.
