Treatment Disciplines Window

Treatment Disciplines are is used to define the various dental disciplines that are performed at your institution.

These are then used to identify the discipline of a treatment procedure and to control how appointments of this discipline are handled and displayed in axiUm.

The Treatment Disciplineswindow allows you to manage the Treatment Disciplines used at your institution.

Important: Treatment Disciplines are different than Evaluation Disciplines, though we strongly recommend configuring them to match.

Treatment Disciplines - Field Definitions

Field	Description
Tx Discipline	A text field that indicates the short code that identifies the treatment discipline. Note: This field can have up to eight characters.
Description	A text field that indicates the full name of the treatment discipline.
Rank	A text field that indicates the priority of this discipline. Rank is used when a provider's schedule needs to be rearranged and identifies which appointments have a higher priority than others.
Type	A drop-down list that indicates the type discipline being defined: General: This code is for general use. Ortho: This code is for use in the Ortho module. Perio: This code is for use in the Perio module.
Appointment Bkg Color	A color bar that indicates the background color to display for appointment in the Scheduler module when configured to display discipline colors.
Inactive	A check box that, when selected, indicates the record is inactive and not in use.

Treatment Disciplines - Tasks

Task	Procedure
Add Treatment Disciplines	Click the Clear Data () icon. Complete the fields as necessary and click the Add a new Record () icon.
Edit Treatment Disciplines	Select a listed entry. Make any necessary changes and click the Modify Record () icon.
Delete Treatment Disciplines	Select a listed entry and click the Delete Record () icon. When prompted, click Yes to confirm the deletion.
Preview/Print Report	(Optional) To preview the Treatment Disciplines report, click the Preview Report () icon. To print the Treatment Disciplines report, click the Print Report () icon. Note: The Treatment Disciplines report uses the aclasses.rpt file.
