Message Groups Window

The Message Groups window allows you to create groups of users, similar to distribution lists, so that users can easily send messages to multiple users.

Field Description
Group

A text field that indicates the short code that identifies the message group.
Description

A text field that describes the message group.
Task Procedure
Add Message Groups
  1. Click the Clear Data () icon.
  2. Complete the fields as necessary and click the Add a new Record () icon.

Assign Users to Message Group

  1. Select a listed entry and click the Assign Members () icon to display the Assign Members window.
  2. Add and remove users from the group as necessary and close the window.

Edit Message Groups

  1. Select a listed entry.
  2. Make any necessary changes and click the Modify Record () icon.
Delete Message Groups
  1. Select a listed entry and click the Delete Record () icon.
  2. When prompted, click Yes to confirm the deletion.
Preview/Print Report
  1. (Optional) To preview the Message Groups report, click the Preview Report () icon.
  2. To print the Message Groups report, click the Print Report () icon.

    3. Note: The Message Groups report uses the ugroup.rpt file.

Assign Members Window

(Maintenance > Office > Message Groups)

The Assign Members window allows you to specify the users to include in the selected message group. It displays when you open the Message Groups window, select a listed group and click the Assign Members() icon.

Task Procedure
Add Members
  1. Select one or more users from the Members (not assigned) list.
  2. Click the > button to move the user(s) to the Members (Assigned) list.
Remove Members
  1. Select one or more users from the Members (Assigned) list.
  2. Click the < button to move the user(s) to the Members (not assigned) list.
