Inventory Order Types Window

The Inventory Order Types window allows you to create and manage the available types of inventory orders that can be used in your institution and, when relevant, attach a custom order form for use when printing orders of this type.

Field Description
Code

A text field that indicates the code that identifies the order type.
Inactive

A check box that, when selected, indicates the field is inactive and not in use.
Description

A text field that describes the order type.
Order Form

A text field that indicates a custom order form for the order type.

The ellipsis is used to navigate to and upload the custom order form, if applicable.

The X is used to remove the currently selected custom order form from the field.

Note: If nothing is specified, the default InvOrd.rpt is used.

External Order

A check box that, when selected, indicates the order is with an external vendor.
Task Procedure
Add Order Types
  1. Click the Clear Data () icon.
  2. Complete the fields as necessary and click the Add a new Record () icon.
Edit Order Types
  1. Select a listed entry.
  2. Make any necessary changes and click the Modify Record () icon.
Delete Order Types
  1. Select a listed entry and click the Delete Record () icon.
  2. When prompted, click Yes to confirm the deletion.

    3. Note: Once an order type has been used, it cannot be deleted.
Preview/Print Report
  1. (Optional) To preview the Inventory Order Types report, click the Preview Report () icon.
  2. To print the Inventory Order Types report, click the Print Report () icon.

    3. Note: The Inventory Order Types report uses the InvOType.rpt file.
